You can delete your Fal Day account in two ways. Deleting from within the app takes effect immediately, and this is the way we recommend. The steps are the same on iPhone and Android.
1. From the app (immediate)
- Open Fal Day
- Go to the Profile tab from the bottom menu
- Tap Delete my account at the very bottom
- Pass the two confirmation screens
Your account and the data listed below are deleted at that moment.
2. By email
If you have removed the app or cannot open it, write to info@falday.com. So that we can find your account, please include:
- The name shown in the app
- Your approximate registration date
- The game you play most or one of your records
- Whether your phone is an iPhone or an Android device
We complete your request within 30 days at the latest.
Data that is deleted
- Your profile information (name, date/time/city of birth, gender, relationship status, area of focus)
- Your profile photo
- Your text content history (called “readings” in the app) and what you wrote for it
- Your credit balance and credit activity
- Your game round records (game name, mode, score, duration, credits spent, date) and all of your leaderboard entries; after deletion you no longer appear on any leaderboard
- Your leaderboard visibility preference
- Your purchase history and ad viewing records
- Your support messages, our replies and your content reports
- Your invite code and invite records
- Your notification preferences, device registration and notification token
- Your Sign in with Apple link (if you used it on iPhone)
Photos uploaded for text content are never stored in the first place; they are deleted once the content is ready. So there are no such photos left to delete.
Your My Journal entries, assistant conversations, and game streaks and badges are kept only on your device; because they are not on our server, they are not covered by this deletion. They are removed when you delete the app from your phone. Voice recordings from talking to the assistant are never stored in the first place.
If you have a subscription, you must cancel it separately. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Subscriptions are managed by Apple and Google, and you will keep being charged until you cancel.
iPhone (App Store): Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions → Fal Day → Cancel Subscription
Android (Google Play): Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Fal Day → Cancel subscription. You can also cancel in a browser: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions
Records kept after deletion
Your purchase history is deleted together with your account. The only thing left on our server is the log of purchase notifications from our payment provider (RevenueCat): product, amount, currency, date and store transaction number. Because your account is gone, these records can no longer be linked to you; they do not contain your name, birth details, scores or content. We keep them to audit payments, refunds and duplicate transactions. The log of sent notifications (notification text and date) also remains, without any link to you. We keep both logs for up to 6 months, then they are deleted automatically.
Apple, Google and RevenueCat keep purchase records under their own policies; we cannot delete those. Firebase and AdMob data is tied to your app installation rather than your account, and is deleted according to Google's retention periods.
This action cannot be undone. Deleted scores, leaderboard positions, credits and information cannot be recovered. Purchased credits are deleted as well and are not refunded.
